Posted February 3, 2018. I have had a owned a Mondeo 2.2 Titanium x sport and a Kuga Titanium in the past and both have displayed the message low battery it was the key remote battery needs replacing. Try replacing the key remote battery in both key remotes and the message should clear. 1.
The 2.0-litre TDCi has several power outputs and the 150 horsepower unit is an OK all-rounder; we’d choose it over the downsized 1.5-litre TDCi 120, and not bother with the 180hp 2.0-litre. If you really want petrol, go for the 160hp 1.5-litre Ecoboost: the 240hp 2.0-litre is too much, and the 1.0-litre 120hp isn’t nearly enough for a car
Posted April 8, 2014. Yes, its a common problem, there is a lot of mk3s with rattling aux belts. I think tey last as little as 25 - 30k. Best to replace the belt, tensioners and crank pulley at once, Gates is ok for belt/ tensioner, but probably best to stick with a genuine Ford crank pulley.

As other entries suggest the ECU would force a regen every 500 miles or so if it doesn't kick in automatically, I expect that the filter being clear already wouldn't prevent a forced regen by the SnapOn kit - feel free to correct me So, looking for suggestions from the worldly wise

If you are lucky, the problems will be solved by a gearbox fluid change (which costs around £300). If you are unlucky, the transmission will need to be replaced and this will be a very expensive job indeed that could run into the thousands.
