1. Compress the tensioner all the way down, at which point it will recoil and extend fully. This squeezes some oil out of it and also checks that it functions properly. 2. Compress the tensioner again, almost all the way this time, leaving only 3mm of the piston extended out of the tensioner body. The pictured cover looks like my 690 oil filter cover but it doesn't look like the one on the 1190. When i got the new style oil filter for the 1190 I felt that the cover wasn't right for it. Bike is ktm duke 690 I just did an oil change on the bike, after replacing filters and filling with oil i stated the bike ( no noise ) and got a low oil pressure light for a split second then it went away. The oil nozzle to the clutch does clog up. Shifting becomes harder even with the KTM Factory Pro shifter installed. Cleaning it out, putting just a little OEM oil into the area & using an air compressor to blow out the oil nozzle before re-install makes a huge difference.
