Once you had your two drilled subframe holes you would use a longer grade 8 bolt that would terminate on the trunk floor using a 1/8th inch steel plate that would be roughly 6 X 6 inches square. This roughly 6 x 6" steel plate would be welded or glued (I prefer welding) in place. See attached pics:

I had to replace my power steering pump and starter (about $500 each, including labor) in my E46 325Ci within the last 10,000 miles (I'm currently at 97,000), and the spark plugs at about 75,000.
