Its an indication that the alternator may be the wrong size though. But don't panic. For the alternator to work it has to generate a magnetic field from its internal windings. This is created by the flow of electricity. The vehicle battery isn't always enough so additional current is required. Where do you get it? - From the alternator - Huh!!.
Full designation of 7th generation Ford Trasit fuse and relay boxes (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012,2013). Cigarette lighter fuse.

First diagnostic, the alternator don’t charge the battery. My motorcaravan, had 3 year and just 41.000 km. In the mean time I wait for the final diagnostic of the dealer(but it's say's that's probably a alternator problem). It is normal problem for the Transit, with few km(41.000)? Anyone can help, tell about the possible causes of that problem?

I like the option that Chevy introduced last year to have dual batteries that are isolated, it would be helpful to have those.

Starter is far more unlikely than the alternator as a drain, just unplug at the alternator. Have you had a drop test done on the battery, either modern eletronic tester or old skool BIG resistance. mk7 08reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on Notice a trend there ? not too big
Today my Transit van started up and the battery light never went out. I put a voltmeter on the battery and it read just over 12 volts, with the engine running. The light was fully on and it didn't go out even while driving with high revs. The belt looks in good condition and is tight. I was able to turn the belt about 45 degrees on the distance
On my new MK7 Transit the visible fuel filter indicator showed a partially blocked filter, the big one on the bulkhead. My Motorhome dealer asked Ford to change the filter. This was done in the parking area, the foreman simply removed the old filter, filled the new one to overflowing, fitted it and started the engine. Took him 5 minutes.
